Young Rabo is the community within Rabobank that connects, inspires, and enables young professionals to grow and make an impact. Together, we are building a future-proof generation within the bank.
To further realize our ambition, we are looking for three new board members.

What does the Young Rabo Board do?
As a board member, you are responsible for the strategic direction of Young Rabo and help shape the future of the community. You manage committees that organize activities and contribute to a strong, visible, and inclusive community within Rabobank.
You actively contribute to the continued growth and impact of Young Rabo across various strategic themes. For 2026 and 2027, our focus areas are:
- Strengthening the voice of young professionals within Rabobank
- Increasing visibility and engagement across the organization
- Delivering inclusive and future-oriented programming
- Stimulating growth, connection, and leadership development
- Continuing to build a strong and sustainable community
The board meets three times per month, including at least one in-person meeting in Utrecht. In addition, we organize an annual board weekend and several strategic planning days during which we define our focus areas and translate them into concrete initiatives.
Within the board, members take on dedicated roles, including Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Activity Coordinator, Internal & External Relations, and Media & Communication.

Start and duration
- Start date: Treasurer from December; Activities Coordinator and Internal & External Relations by mutual agreement
- Board inauguration: Committee Year Kick-Off on Thursday, November 5 (save the date!)
- Term: 2–3 years
- Time commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week
Compensation
Board membership is a voluntary position. Expenses can be reimbursed in accordance with the association’s statutes.

Which board positions are we recruiting for?
Treasurer
As Treasurer, you provide a strong financial foundation while actively contributing to strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing and monitoring the Young Rabo budget, including preparing and submitting the annual budget request to the Managing Board (MB).
- Ensuring financial transparency and providing insights that support data-driven decision-making on both strategic and operational topics.
- Guiding and supporting the treasurers of the various committees.
- Maintaining reliable and efficient financial administration, including:
- Processing and monitoring payments of the association, including review and approval of committee expense claims
- Keeping financial records accurate and up to date
- Liaising with committees regarding budgets and expenditures
- Monitoring cash flow and overseeing budget performance throughout the year
What you will build upon
Over the past few years, Young Rabo has made significant progress in professionalizing its financial setup, including:
- The implementation of an expense management tool.
- The implementation of a new accounting system.
- The professionalization of the financial administration.
As Treasurer, you can leverage this solid foundation and focus on both operational excellence and strategic financial topics.
Internal & External Relations
In this role, you are the key link between Young Rabo and its internal and external network.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Creating valuable partnerships and collaborations for our members
- Engaging with relevant networks within and outside the bank
- Preparing and delivering presentations, for example during onboarding programs and events
- Contributing to the strategy and positioning of Young Rabo
- Representing the voice of young professionals within Rabobank
Activity Coordinator
As Activity Coordinator, you ensure inspiring, inclusive, and professionally organized activities for our members.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and further developing the activity portfolio
- Managing and supporting committees and committee members in planning activities
- Coordinating applications for committee members
- Safeguarding the quality, planning, and diversity of activities
- Translating member needs into new initiatives
- Organizing larger Young Rabo-wide events and board activities
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement within the activity offering
